AZSCI Junior Deer Camp 2026


The AZ SCI Youth Deer Camp is youth deer tag holder in units 36A, 36B and 36C.

All those who attend the camp must register. This includes parents, siblings, grandparents etc.

Be sure to sight-in and practice shooting your rifle. A Javelina companion tag available from your local AZGFD office.

The large group campsite provides for dry camping for tents and camp trailers. There are 38 campsites and are first come first serve. We provide breakfast lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday. We provide breakfast on Sunday.

### ATTENTION ###: Hunters who have a Youth-only Deer Hunt Permit-tag for the hunt number(s) valid for this camp (unit, season, dates), are also eligible for an additional Javelina Companion Tag (Population Management Hunts per R12-4-115 & Note 33), valid for the take of one javelina in the same unit, during the same season dates. The Nonpermit Companion Javelina Tag must be purchased in person at any Game and Fish Office before the hunt. Allowing you to take either or both animals / species during that hunt number and season dates. Don’t miss out and pack an extra cooler.

About the Location

The camp is located at Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge Group Campsite, at approximately Milepost 4, west of the town of Arivaca. The best landmark to use for the entrance is a communications tower on the south side of the Arivaca-Sasabe Highway.
